≈ 15 minutes per room
Ready for your first recording.
Install and set up LIRA Recorder. Complete these 11 steps to start recording consultations automatically.
Start setupBefore you start
Microphone
One per room. We send them in advance.
Token file
Your account manager sends this file. It contains a table listing each room and its code.
Computer in the room
Windows 10 / 11 and a working internet connection.
Windows administrator permissions
Needed only when installing the app.
Room setup
Follow the steps in order. The checks at the end of each step help you confirm that everything worked.
Step 1 of 11
Position the microphone and connect it to the computer
Place the microphone roughly halfway between the physician and the patient so that it picks up both voices equally well.
- Do not place the microphone next to the monitor's cooling vents or on the computer case. Fan noise will be picked up in the recording.
- Connect the cable directly to the computer, without a USB extension cable, hub, or monitor port.
Step 2 of 11
Open the token file and find the correct room
Your account manager sends the file. Each room already has its own token listed beside it. Find the row for the room you are currently in.
Step 3 of 11
Download the installer
Open this link on the computer in the room:
Download LIRA Recorder for Windows 10 / 11 · .exeStep 4 of 11
Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded file and wait for installation to finish.
Step 5 of 11
Enter the room token
Paste the token from the file that matches this room's number.
The checkbox below the token field determines who the token applies to:
Step 6 of 11
Check which microphone is selected
Open the Settings («Настройки») tab and click Select («Выбрать») under Input devices («Устройства ввода»). Make sure USB LCS Audio is selected, rather than the microphone built into the monitor or webcam.
Step 7 of 11
Make sure all four switches are on
Scroll down in the Settings («Настройки») tab. The switches are enabled automatically. You only need to check that all four are on:
- Launch when signing in to Windows («Запускать при входе в Windows»).
- Start recording immediately («Сразу начинать запись»).
- Minimize to the system tray («Сворачивать в трей»).
- Automatic updates («Автообновление»).
Step 8 of 11
Check that recording is running
Open the recording screen and check the timer. If it is advancing, recording is already running, so do not press the microphone button. Press the recording start button only if recording is not running.
Step 9 of 11
Check that the recording has reached the system
This is the main check: it confirms that the room is set up properly, rather than simply having the app open.
Wait up to 3 minutes after starting the recording, then open the Manager tab → Team → Recorders. A recording from this room should appear there.
Step 10 of 11
Restart the computer and check that recording starts automatically
Restarting confirms that the app and recording start automatically.
- Restart the computer: Start → Power → Restart.
- Wait for Windows to load and sign in with the same account you used to set up the recorder.
- Do not open anything manually. Wait a minute.
Step 11 of 11
Repeat in the other rooms
Set up each room separately with its own token. Mark completed rooms in the file from your account manager to keep track.
